Painted house numbers on front door

Today we did a few little things...like painting the house number on the door.

PS: I am starting to get a little irritated with well-intended neighbors giving me decorating advice...

Trust me. I've got this.

And it doesn't include vinyl.

more exterior painting and kitchen work - using blackboard paint

First, here is the newly landscaped wall and yard with less scrub:

We have been working on the kitchen and have purchased a couple of very interesting antiques~ one is an old store counter from Cape Cod - ironically we bought it on our anniversary and we happened to have our honeymoon in Cape Cod! The other is a wooden cabinet with file drawers. We have also built the peninsula to hold the oven.

We have been working on painting the exterior trim:

And we got new porch lights!

mirror fireplace and starting landscaping

We wanted a mirror effect on the fireplace to mimic and coordinate with the many mirror walls in the house, but mirror tiles are so outrageously priced I was hesitant. BUT when we were at IKEA we saw these cool black and white mirrors and thought, can these be tiles? YES! And here they are!

Also, we have begun landscaping - looks like the moon!
